Do you struggle to achieve in art or actually in any kind of expression?

IS DEMUM MIHI VIVERE ATQUE
FRUI ANIMA VIDETUR

Which could be translated as:

According to me, no one lives a true life
and enjoys it
until he, fascinated by a certain activity,
struggles to bring fame to his act
or fair artwork.

This piece is a part of a colloquium of Type design.

How was it done? I took a brush and started covering dozens of A2 papers with ‘Q’s until a few of them showed up as suitable for further work. The Q was drawn with black ink, so I pushed the colors to make it blue and more contrastive to the gray type. I spent a lot of time kerning the type and bringing it the right “shape”. Finally I made five versions of the quotations with different Qs and have chosen the right one.

And the meaning of the quotation? I absolutely agree with it. Just consuming, consuming, consuming and where did all the inspiration go? Even good art can hardly sell itself.
